Mike Moore’s running for Lt. Gov.

By: Magnolia Tribune - June 29, 2006

Though it may or may not be true, it is no joke.

The rumor is circulating in political circles that Mike Moore is weighing a run at Lt. Governor. If so, he would be the presumptive nominee to run against the winner of Bryant vs. Ross.

His motivations are rumored to be payback against the Governor for gutting the Padnuhship (or at the very least Moore’s control of it). Revenge would be sweet for more to extend his middle finger the Governor’s way on a regular basis and all but grind his legislative agenda to a halt.

With no real opposition on the horizon, other than maybe Ray Mabus, Haley will have a ton of loose cash and would move heaven and earth to support the R nominee if Moore decides to throw his hat in the ring.

MississippiPolitics is never dull.
