There is no D in Governor

There is no D in Governor

By: Magnolia Tribune - July 27, 2005

The Muscadine Vine reports that Ronnie Musgrove, while playing lawyer by day at Copeland Cook Taylor & Bush in Jackson, is on the Coast raising money and eyeing another gubernatorial run in ’07. Rumor has it that he has already announced his intentions to the die-hard Democratic-set in the state. That is presumably to scare off other potential candidates such as the rumored Jim Hood who might abdicate his thrown as AG to run for Governor (God help us).

Meanwhile, Mike Moore flush with cash both personally through private law practice at Phelps Dunbar in Jackson and with Partnership money is on the sidelines like a hawk looking to swoop into any state or federal race he thinks he can win. Moore will be mentioned for every elected position out there until he decides what to run for, but he certainly gave a long look to the Governor post last time.
