News Channel 12 Looks Into Candidates Campaign Money
Earl F. Jones is the co-chair of MMI Dining and Hotel Group. He is one of 14 donors who have contributed money to two mayoral campaigns, incumbent, Harvey Johnson Jr. and challenger, Frank Melton.
Jones says he and his wife personally donated $7,000 dollars to Melton’s campaign and $3,000 dollars to Johnson’s campaign. “I donated to both campaigns because I want to see a good race”.
Jones says his wife is the reason, Melton received more money. She went to a Frank Melton fundraiser on her own and ended up donating more money.
