Memphis Developer Confident In Farish St.
A well-known developer announced a detailed plan regarding the Farish Street entertainment district in downtown Jackson.
John Elkington, President of Performa Entertainment is Farish street’s developer. He’s comparing the area to Beale Street in Memphis and is addressing concerns like safety and parking. He wants it to be the entertainment center of the state.
Elkington said, “The type of tenants we’re securing, the type of interest we’re getting from lenders. I think it is all very possible, we wouldn’t have spent as much time and effort, if we didn’t think this would be successful.”
