“According to JPD, Washington, 26, was arrested last Thursday on a false pretense charge and for back fines he owed. After those fines were paid, he was released.
JPD apparently did not check the National Crime Information Center before releasing Washington. The NCIC database would have revealed that Washington was wanted by Hinds authorities after Circuit Court Judge Bobby DeLaughter had revoked a $25,000 bond for failing to appear in court for an indictment for possession of cocaine.”
