Bumphis open to taking snaps at State

There’s been talk ever since he came to State of Bumphis possibly taking snaps out of the Wildcat formation. If the 5-foot-10, 195-pounder has his way, that will become a reality this fall.
“I’ve asked for it a million times, but I don’t know what (the coaches) will do,” he said.
Bumphis did get six carries last season, gaining 73 yards and scoring a touchdown. And he threw two passes — completing one — but never took a snap from center. He also returns punts and kickoffs.
