Summer league focus on filling out roster- Heat
LAS VEGAS — For weeks, the Heat’s mission has been to re-sign Dwyane Wade and to acquire LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
On Sunday, that focus shifted to finding a few players good enough to round out the back end of the Heat’s star-studded, front-loaded roster.
Miami’s summer league roster is highlighted by center Dexter Pittman and forward Jarvis Varnado, who were second-round picks in last month’s draft. Point guard Pat Beverley, a second-round pick last season, also is battling for a job.
