Which college team sells the most merchandise nationally?
Well, in the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal year (Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2009), the Collegiate Licensing Company reported that Texas was its No. 1 seller.
But Florida was No. 2 and Alabama No. 3. Remember, all three of those teams were working on perfect football seasons during much of that quarter.
In fact, four of the top five sellers in that quarter were SEC teams. LSU was No. 4 and Georgia No. 5.
The SEC had eight teams among the top 20 sellers. Kentucky was No. 11, Tennessee No. 12, Auburn No. 15 and Arkansas No. 18.
