Anthony Grant wiped the slate clean from a mediocre first season at Alabama with a nice finish to the regular season and a gut-wrenching loss to Kentucky in the conference tournament.
However, the Tide (17-15) was snubbed by the NIT, although many area fans late to the party were still impressed with the $2 million-a-year man. Count me among those who were underwhelmed.
