Tim Tebow defends Meyer, UF coaches

Tim Tebow stopped by to chat with Mike Mayock and Steve Mariucci of NFL Network as he prepares to work out at the NFL scouting combine. Tebow was pretty candid during his interview and also made sure to defend Urban Meyer, who has come under fire recently from some critics who believe he should have done more to help Tebow hone his pro skills.

Tebow said this of the coaching he got at UF: “My coaching at Florida was great, it was unbelievable. I was taught so many great things. I wasn’t under center that much, but we did learn a lot about hitching about staying balanced in the pocket, and that coaching was great.”

He described what he is trying to focus on with his new throwing motion, and said the No. 1 thing he is working on are controlling his feet.
