Florida-Georgia Game: Red flag for SEC officials
Tennessee’s Lane Kiffin wouldn’t address it. Arkansas’ Bobby Petrino apologized. Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen was complimentary.
The three Southeastern Conference coaches reprimanded within the past two weeks for criticizing the officiating in their games were on their best behavior on Wednesday’s weekly coaches teleconference. They didn’t want to get hit with a second — and in Kiffin’s case, a third — reprimand from the league office.
But they didn’t have to say anything because their point has already been made.
The officiating in the SEC is under fire this season.
