Houston Nutt and Nick Saban share more than their profession, an agent (Jimmy Sexton), seven-figure salaries and a much anticipated showdown this Saturday afternoon.
They share an uncommon mutual respect.
That’s probably because they have coached against one another often and the result has often been a well-played, down-to-the-final-gun game.
How much does Saban respect Nutt? When Saban left LSU for the Miami Dolphins after the 2004 season, he recommended Nutt as his successor.
