Ryan Mallett stretches Arkansas’ passing attack
It’s likely Arkansas tight end D.J. Williams may not repeat the football season this year that he enjoyed last fall.
Consider his 61 catches accounted for almost 25 percent of the Razorbacks’ total receptions in last year’s 5-7 maiden voyage under then-new coach Bobby Petrino.
But even though all those receptions for 723 yards and three touchdowns made him a semifinalist for the Mackey Award (which goes to college football’s best tight end), Williams was sitting home during bowl season.
