LSU’s Thornton getting a lot of NBA draft interest
Marcus Thornton has worked out for “just about every (NBA) team,” he said entering Thursday’s draft.
For the most part, the workouts have gone well, said the former LSU guard who was the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year as a senior in 2008-2009.
The question is, how good? Or, more to the point, has the Baton Rouge native worked his way up from second-round prospect to a player who can go in the first round?
“That’s one of those things we have to wait until Thursday to find out,” NBA assistant director of scouting Ryan Blake said Tuesday. “He’s one of those second-rounders who could move into the first round.”
