ATLANTA — Of the 12 victories Southern Miss has had in NCAA Tournament play, Saturday’s 10-7 win over top-seeded Georgia Tech in the NCAA Atlanta Regional has to rank at the top.
The Golden Eagles (37-23) have won the first two games of a regional for the first time, and are just one victory away from reaching their first NCAA Super Regional.
USM will play today at 6 p.m. against the winner of a 2 p.m. game between Elon and Georgia Tech.
