Croom: ‘I didn’t see that coming’
OXFORD — Mississippi State suffered its seventh shutout loss under Coach Sylvester Croom and its third Egg Bowl shutout loss since 1971, falling to Ole Miss 45-0 Friday.
It was the 15th time the Bulldogs have been held below 10 points in the past five seasons.
When it was all over, Croom and several shell-shocked MSU players could only point to one reason – a lack of intensity.
“To say the least, I didn’t see that one coming,” Croom said. “Hopefully I can learn from this. We were never in the ball game.”
