Nutt, Ole Miss hold off Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Houston Nutt won at Razorback Stadium on Saturday night, one of his many victories in the Northwest Arkansas hills.

But it was his first as the visiting coach.
Ole Miss hung on for dear life but defeated Arkansas 23-21 before a crowd of 74,168, the fifth-largest in stadium history.
Many of those fans left after Joshua Shene’s third field goal gave Ole Miss a 23-14 edge with 1 minute, 45 seconds to play.

The Rebels (4-4, 2-3 SEC) had a seemingly comfortable advantage until the Razorbacks drove 71 yards in four plays, scoring with 1:07 left when cornerback Marshay Green mistimed a jump on a Casey Dick fade pass, and Greg Childs hauled in the 22-yard touchdown.
The Razorbacks (3-5, 1-4) then recovered the on-side kick after Ole Miss receiver Mike Wallace had the ball knocked from his grasp.
