ROOTING AGAINST YOUR RIVAL IS NO. 1 FAN RULE
THESE have been confusing times to be a baseball fan in New York City, assuming you still have wished to have some kind of rooting interest among those teams still left standing. Whom do you cheer for? Whom do you cheer against? Are there any truisms to be found in the Rule of Triadic Interaction, (which I believe is listed as Rule 10.3 (j) in the Official Sports Fan Rule Book) which states:
1. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
2. The friend of my friend is my friend.
3. The enemy of my friend is my enemy.
