Tuberville culprit for Auburn mess
When Tommy Tuberville decided to shake up his offense last December, I applauded the move.
After an eight-win regular season, Tuberville decided he needed to make a change, so he replaced former offensive coordinator Al Borges with Tony Franklin.
Auburn’s offense had some problems during Borges’ final year on staff, and Tuberville obviously didn’t like the direction the unit was headed. I thought he deserved credit for taking action before the situation became critical.
Under Borges, Auburn ran a smashmouth style attack. Franklin was a spread guru who had enjoyed a successful stint coordinating the offense at Troy.
