Week 4 wrap: LSU just knows how to win
For LSU, nothing has changed.
Oh, a few names on the backs of the jerseys are different, but the Tigers continue to play the game as though they know something that their opponents still don’t know. They’ve got “The Secret.”
You know, that “law of (positive) attraction” they used so effectively last year in putting together their unlikely run of comebacks and last-minute victories all the way to the national championship.
They know what to do. They expect to be successful. They envision themselves doing it. And then they go out and find a way to do it. Again. This time, it was a Jarrett Lee-to-Brandon LaFell pass of 18 yards with about a minute remaining that capped an impressive drive and comeback at Auburn.
And so even with what had appeared to be a dysfunctional quarterback situation, we were reminded Saturday that LSU can never be counted out of the race to play the USC Trojans in Miami on Jan. 8.
