Apparently, Georgia’s end zone celebration against Florida last season hasn’t left Urban Meyer’s mind. Urban Meyer addressed the subject two weeks ago at the SEC’s media days.

“It was uncalled for. First of all it’s against the rules,” Urban Meyer told the reporters.
And in his upcoming book, entitled “Urban’s Way”, Urban Meyer says that the celebration “wasn’t right” and was “a bad deal.” “And it will forever be in the mind of Urban Meyer and in the mind of our football team. So we’ll handle it, and it’s going to be a big deal,” Urban Meyer went on to add. Yes, Urban Meyer really did say it that way.
Okay you can stop the X-files music. Now before Pope Urban Meyer, the Keeper of Morality, gets too sure of himself, it’s legitimate to point out that Georgia was rightfully penalized for the celebration, but also that Urban Meyer’s team has led the conference in penalties at least since before he arrived. And they haven’t been far off from having the most penalties in the nation.
