Walkoff home run dooms Jags in 10th
Sean Stuyverson blasted a walkoff homer in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Ole Miss a 6-5 win over South Alabama Tuesday night.
It was the second time this season the Jags had lost a game in extra innings on a walkoff homer. USA fell at Mississippi State in 11 innings on March 26.
The Rebels (21-11) tied the game in the ninth with a run off Miles Ethridge, who did not surrender a hit in 2 innings. However, he walked pinch-hitter Cody Overbeck to start the rally, and he scored on Logan Powers’ single off Eric Gonzalez.
