Moss Point mayor calls for forensic audit of city

Moss Point Mayor Billy Broomfield is calling for a forensic audit of the city in light of a state investigation into possible fraud and misappropriation of funds in the utility and police departments.

During Tuesday night’s board of aldermen meeting, a vote to approve the audit was tabled after some aldermen suggested waiting until the state’s investigation is complete.
