Officials say states ready for high voter turnout
In Mississippi, Hosemann said, voting machines are in place and election officials are training poll workers for the state’s March 8 primary.
“We expect a smooth election,’’ he said.
Mississippi is among states with new election laws. Hosemann is pushing state lawmakers to also adopt legislation that would move up the primary by a week.
“I think Mississippi deserves the right to speak to the presidential candidates,’’ he said.
