Strong coast casinos boost Mississippi gambling revenue
State Revenue Department figures released last week show casinos won $161 million in November, up 3 percent from $156 million in November 2014.
The 11 coastal casinos won $91 million, up 10 percent from last year. The Scarlet Pearl casino in D’Iberville opened Dec. 10, boosting coastal casinos to 12.
The 16 Mississippi River casinos won $70 million, down 5 percent from November 2014.
