Rep. Palazzo Still Backs Blackburn for Speaker after Paul Ryan Announcement

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – Tuesday night’s announcement that Paul Ryan will run for House Speaker if his conditions are met sent waves through Capitol Hill.

Congressman Steven Palazzo (R-MS) said he would still like to see Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), a Mississippi Native, take the speakership.

Congressman Palazzo put his full support behind Congresswoman Blackburn for Speaker of the House a week and a half ago. The last 24 hours have shaken things up with Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) announcing his willingness to do the job, but Palazzo’s faith in Blackburn hasn’t wavered.
