Insurance Commissioner race: Reform Party candidate removed from ballot; Chaney now unopposed

By: Magnolia Tribune - September 9, 2015

Insurance commissioner Chaney unopposed for third term

The Reform Party won’t have a candidate for Mississippi insurance commissioner on the Nov. 3 ballot.

That leaves Republican Mike Chaney unopposed for a third term.

The state Board of Election Commissioners met Wednesday and removed Reform candidate Johnny McLeod of Hattiesburg from the ballot, saying he could not prove he has lived in the state at least five years.
