Shad White officially sworn in as the new State Auditor

This morning, Shadrick White was sworn in as the new State Auditor. He replaces longtime auditor Stacey Pickering who left the office to take the position as Executive Director of the the Mississippi Veterans Affairs Board.

White leaves his current position as the Director of the Mississippi Justice Institute, one he was appointed to back in December 2017.

White graduated from Harvard Law School with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi. He was president of the Harvard Federalist Society while in school and also the Organized Crime Drug Task First in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston. He also studied as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford where he earned a master’s degree in economic history. He is from Jones county and he and his wife Rina live in Rankin County.
