Gov. Phil Bryant in Biloxi to receive DMR’s final Oyster Council report
Bryant said the goal of harvesting a million sacks in 10 years is not an easy task but something that is now attainable.
“We can do this because now we have a plan in place,” he said. “We have to go back and study what people were doing when oyster production was at its highest.”
The report strives to arm future generations with knowledge and understanding to keep the plan moving forward.
