Councilman Kenny Glavan appointed Biloxi’s interim mayor
BILOXI, Mississippi — Councilman Kenny Glavan was appointed Biloxi’s interim mayor Tuesday and will serve until a special election to fill the vacant position created when 6-term mayor A.J. Holloway resigned last week, according to multiple media reports.
It took the city council four votes before Glavan earned the necessary four votes for the appointment. David Fayard, Robert Demming and Felix Gines were all nominated for the post, but none garnered the votes needed.
