Election commissioner running for clerk seat

Julia Hodges is the first to throw her name in the hat for Madison County Circuit Clerk, having recently resigned her position as an election commissioner.

Hodges filed papers last week to run as a Republican.

Circuit Clerk Lee Westbrook announced earlier this year she would not seek a seventh term, saying it was time to begin a new phase of her life and spend more time with family.
