#MS04 Reform Party candidate Eli Jackson arrested in Hattiesburg

Mississippi Congressional candidate arrested

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) –
A Reform Party candidate for Mississippi’s 4th District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives found himself behind bars on a simple domestic violence charge.

Eli Jackson, 57, was taken into custody Monday at the Hattiesburg Police Department. According to Hattiesburg Police Department Lt. Jon Traxler, Jackson showed up to file charges on someone, and had an active warrant for his arrest, and he was denied the ability to sign charges on the individual and served with the warrant for his arrest and taken to jail.

Jackson was facing a $1,000 bond according to Forrest County Sheriff’s Department officers, and is no longer booked in the Forrest County facility.
