AG stands by statement saying Fielder paid to lie
Jan Schaefer, the spokesperson for Attorney General Jim Hood, sent a response to Stevie Fielder saying he never told investigators that he was paid to lie.
“We are not going to debate in the media the facts of a recorded conversation involved in an investigation.”
Schaefer confirmed that she was talking about the recording of AG investigators interviewing Fielder and not the interview Fielder gave to Charles C. Johnson.
