Waveland mayor to retire at end of term

WAVELAND — Waveland Mayor David Garcia has announced he will retire at the end of his term.

Garcia told city workers of his decision during a meeting Tuesday morning.

“After 40 years of public service, it is with a great deal of thought and deliberation amongst family and friends that I have made the decision to retire at the conclusion of my term as mayor of Waveland,” Garcia said in a release.
