Democrat @Childers4Senate not in the same campaign finance universe with Cochran or McDaniel

It’s an Open Secret, Mississippi has one hot Senate race

Mississippi’s Senate race has made the Center for Responsive Politics’ list of Hot Races.

Mississippi was chosen because more than $1 million in campaign donations — and more than half of the total raised — came from outside the state.

According to the center’s OpenSecrets.org, on the Republican side Sen. Thad Cochran raised a total of $2,889,242, state Sen. Chris McDaniel raised $962,366. Democrat Travis Childers has raised $51,600, the center said.

And, according to RollCall.com, Cochran has $1,523,000 on hand, McDaniel has $466,000 and Childers, $52,000
