Race for House District 110 seat Taking Shape
Former state Rep. Mitch Ellerby has announced he will run for the state House District 110 seat, a spot vacated when former Rep. Billy Broomfield won the Moss Point mayoral race earlier this year.
Monday was the qualifying deadline to run, and Ellerby is one of five running in the Nov. 5 special election.
He joins Jeramey Anderson, Tyres Autrey, Anne McMillion and former Moss Point Mayor Aneice Liddell in the race.
A runoff election will be held Nov. 26, if needed.
