WJTV – Mississippians Anticipate Being Heard During Speaker Philip Gunn’s Ideas Tour

From the number of responses Speaker of the House Philip Gunn’s office has received, Mississippians are looking forward to being heard during the upcoming MS Solutions—An Ideas Tour. The circuit of meetings kicks off Monday, October 7, at the Clinton Municipal Court in Clinton at 8 a.m.

For the second year in a row, Speaker Gunn is hosting the Tour, which is a non-partisan town hall style series of meetings. Mississippi Solutions—an Ideas Tour is a forum for all Legislators, citizens and the press to attend. People are encouraged to bring ideas for solutions they have on issues affecting Mississippi. Ideas may also be submitted through the Speaker’s website, Facebook page and Twitter account.

“We can tell Mississippians are looking forward to the Legislature coming to them again based on the communications we have received,” said Speaker Gunn. “Mississippians are invested in their state and its future. Our hope is that through these stops we can incorporate their voices into the solutions we lawmakers work on each session.”
