The living room of State Rep. Wanda Jennings, R-Southaven, is transformed each year into a gathering of a virtual “Who’s Who” in state politics and this year was no exception.
Jennings has hosted the event at her home for most of the 16 years she has held political office.
“I mark my calendar for this every year,” Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann said a crowd of more than 150 people crammed inside Jennings’ living room on Thursday morning. Hosemann spoke along with Mississippi’s First Lady Deborah Bryant. “I wish every one of the state’s 82 counties would be like this county.”
The pair spoke later to a smaller group of Southaven Rotarians following the main event at Jennings’ home in the Stonehedge subdivision of Southaven.
