Palazzo will address NAACP honors banquet in Gulfport

U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo will address the Gulfport Branch of the NAACP at its annual Freedom Fund banquet at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Good Deeds Community Center at 15101 Madison St. in Gulfport.

The Felix H. Dunn Award will be presented to 2012 honoree Dr. Alfred E. McNair Jr., and there will be a special tribute to the Rev. Lawrence Collins. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of 2011’s honoree, Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts.

McNair is being honored for his altruism, humanitarianism, entrepreneurial spirit, vast array of philanthropic endeavors and advocacy to improve the health of local communities.
