County sending 11 to GOP convention
Five delegates and six alternates from Madison County will be among those representing Mississippi next week in Tampa at the Republican National Convention.
Mississippi is sending 40 delegates and 37 alternates to the convention and state GOP Chairman Joe Nosef said all 40 of the delegates will vote for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney to become the party’s presidential nominee.
Among those is State Treasurer Lynn Fitch of Madison, who is also one of 112 members of the Platform Committee. She spent Sunday through Wednesday in
