HARRISON: Official Mississippi makes much ado over a constitutional right
We make things in Mississippi more difficult than they have to be.
Take for instance the case of the Mississippi Agriculture and Commerce Commissioner Cindy Hyde-Smith, making national news last week when she announced rather than face a lawsuit she would allow a same-sex couple to have a “commitment ceremony” in the state-owned Agricultural and Forestry Museum in Jackson.
