Nunnelee focuses on conservative values
ABERDEEN — A staple in state and federal government since 1995, Congressman Alan Nunnelee credits his upbringing to how Mississippi values shaped him as a politician.
“I grew up in a working class family and I’m part of the middle class like the bulk of us. My father was 19 and my mother was 17 when they had me. Neither of them had an opportunity to go to college and before they were expecting me, they were already saving for their unborn child to attend college,” Nunnelee said.
Born in Tupelo in 1958, he went on to graduate from Clinton High School and later from Mississippi State University.
