Many believed that the constant in-fighting and disorganization not only made for embarrassing political theater but cost the party the state house as well as a shot a retaking the state senate and other statewide offices. Many saw the 2012 re-organization process as a way for more progressive voices to sit at the party’s decision making table.
What is clear two congressional conventions later is that “the more things change, the more they stay the same”. Interestingly, of the 28 members who have been elected to serve on the 2012-2016 State Executive committee, 18 are on the current committee or served on the preceding committee.
