Thompson pressing for answers in Secret Service scandal

A Mississippi congressman is pressing for answers in the biggest scandal the Secret Service has ever faced.

On Monday, the Secret Service stripped clearance privileges for 11 agents accused of associating with prostitutes in Columbia.

U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., is the senior Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee. Thompson told 16 WAPT’s Washington Bureau that he’s helping to lead a congressional investigation.

Thompson said the 11 agents were questioned Saturday. Thompson said he spoke Sunday with Mark Sullivan, the director of the Secret Service.
