Cottonmouth – GOP ‘pressuring’ Democrats to switch parties
The MSGOP is pushing legislative Democrats to switch parties, and do far they’ve been successful in getting Sen. Gray Tollison and Rep. Donnie Bell to do so. Not all attempts have been successful, however. It appears as though a strong effort to lure Rep. Preston Sullivan into the wilderness has failed.
House Republicans have said off the record that they have no intentions of rewarding Bell for his switch. The MSGOP had targeted Bell for defeat on Tuesday, and are angry that Bell forced them to spend money that could have been used elsewhere.
