Bryant leads DuPree in cash for Miss. gov’s race

JACKSON, Miss. — Republican Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant continues to be the top fundraiser in the Mississippi governor’s race with only days remaining before the Nov. 8 election.
Reports filed Tuesday show Bryant has raised $4.3 million and spent $5.6 million this year. He has $760,753 remaining.

The Democratic nominee for governor, Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree, has raised $1.2 million and spent $744,926. He has $383,533 on hand.

“Today, we reported our strongest fundraising month of the campaign. We have continued to grow our support – both financially and on the ground,” DuPree said in a news release.
