Palazzo to meet with S Korean FM in Seoul
SEOUL, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) — Three U.S. Congress members are scheduled to visit Seoul next week to meet with South Korean Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan over a trade agreement between the two countries and security issues, the Foreign Ministry here said Wednesday.
Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Virginia), Rep. Steven Palazzo (R- Mississippi) and Rep. Madeleine Bordallo (D-Guam), all members of the House Armed Services Committee, will be on a two-day visit starting next Monday.
Their meeting with Kim on Monday will center on the free trade agreement awaiting legislative approval in both countries and the security situation on the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia, according to the ministry.
The visit is part of their East Asian tour.
