HD 17: Congressman Nunnelee endorses Rep. Brian Aldridge
Congressman Alan Nunnelee has endorsed Republican Rep. Brian Aldridge in his reelection bid for House District 17.
Here’s the release:
“State Representative Brian Aldridge is proud to announce the endorsement of United States Congressman Alan Nunnelee.
“In a statement delivered to Aldridge earlier this week, Nunnelee says, “Brian Aldridge has effectively represented Lee County in the Mississippi House of Representatives since 2004. I have worked with Brian on projects to bring jobs to Northeast Mississippi, and have seen first-hand his leadership abilities.
He has gained the respect of his peers, being elected President of the Mississippi Legislative Conservative Coalition. When he returns to the House in 2012, he will be in a position to be in a significant leadership position, and that will allow him to represent Lee County even more effectively.”
Aldridge said, “It is my distinct honor to receive the endorsement of Congressman Nunnelee. His support of me and of my campaign is very humbling.”
Aldridge has served for eight years in the Mississippi House of Representatives from District 17.
