Thompson announces USDA rural water grants for Miss.
JACKSON, Miss. — U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson says the U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved grants and loans to be used to maintain water mains and distribution improvements in three locations in Mississippi.
Thompson, D-Miss., says Canton Municipal Utilities will get a loan of $159,000 and a grant of $107,201.
Thomastown Community Water Association Inc. in Leake County has been approved for a loan for $398,000 and a grant of $302,000.
