LT. GOVERNOR PHIL BRYANT RELEASE STATEMENT ON MAY TAX COLLECTIONS
“Today’s tax collection numbers for the month of May show that General Fund revenue is more than a half percent below the sine die estimate. I remain cautiously optimistic as we approach the new Fiscal Year beginning July 1. As the incoming chair of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee and with thirty days remaining in the current Fiscal Year 2011, I continue to urge state agencies to be prudent in their spending.”
